So I had to break the news to someone recently that I’m ace.

She messaged me on Facebook, and I think we really hit it off. I’m not aromantic, and I’d like a relationship.

She goes into wanted a monogamous relationship, which I’m totally okay with. I do know that I need to tell her that I’m ace.

After explaining, the response I get is, “I don’t understand what you mean.” I continue to explain, but she doesn’t get it.

I'm pretty sure she wanted a sexual relationship, given she mentioned monogamous, and that is something I can not provide. It sucks, but I know who I am and what I can bring to a relationship.
