Aruba vs Ubiquiti enterprise

Post Body

So here's my question/issue I currently have aruba AP's and an Aruba mobility master and 2 controllers.

I've got a quote for 170 Ap's and another controller, the cio just flipped his lid, as it's expensive.. (just like everything)

So now he's like let's get a quote for an alternative to Aruba...

To a certain extent whatever, but we already have a setup across three other sites with Aruba. Approximately 190 Ap's, theirs' a few dozen on backorder too. All the data get's vpn'd back to the controllers (we can have it drop locally the data at the AP as well, but security wise it's better to keep it all encrypted till it hits the servers) , we can see all the traffic with the firewall license, and airwave we can see where things are and track all sorts of things. As well as it ties into a clearpass setup we have for some public use on a separate SSID . And security is really critical across some of this stuff.

We've been running with a split management of wifi for awhile, it's been a pain. If I have to continue it, fine. But I'd love to have one thing. And truthfully if we were to switch to ubiquiti I'd probably suggest we just switch everything over to it eventually.

It's fairly important for us to be able to track the userid, machine name, and traffic that is coming from each client. As well as to be able to see the the performance of everything.

Any suggestions?
