When I was 13, my mother passed away, and I found her body in her room. After that, I moved in with my uncle and aunt and cousins and I grew very sick. my grandparents had to eventually come pick me up from my uncle and auntās house and take me to the emergency room because I could not breathe and the fever that I had was overwhelming. Unfortunately my grandparents were also ones to smoke cigarettes in the car and this was before the time of smoking in the car being illegal with children. I remember gasping for air and crying acid tears wondering if I would make it to the ER and wondering if I meant more to them than the cigarettes that they smoked. The gospel music playing in the background was a nice ironic touchā¦
