Does anyone know any techniques for finding the vanishing points in perspective when working traditionally?

Post Body

Hi, I'm trying to learn some perspective drawing. I understand the basics of how the vanishing point, horizon lines, and 1 2 and 3 point perspective works. But what I want to do now is learn how to find the perspective line that leads to the vanishing point when the vanishing point is so far off the paper. I'm a traditional artist so I can't exactly find enough space to lay down some butcher paper and draw perspective lines with it. I was hoping someone might know a technique on how to eyeball it or create construction lines in order to find the perspective lines.
