Expert survey: Don't trust tech CEOs on AI.
https://www.axios.com/2023/11/08/tech-ceos-distrust-expert-survey
In a recent survey conducted by Axios, Generation Lab, and Syracuse University, 56% of computer science professors from 67 of the top 100 US programs expressed skepticism towards AI CEOs and executives, characterizing them as "extremely disingenuous" or "somewhat disingenuous" in their push for AI regulation. This perception highlights a prevailing lack of trust among experts in the tech industry.
This survey shows that there's a widening gap between AI industry leaders advocating for regulation and the academic experts immersed in studying and advancing the field.
Although 72% are optimistic of where we will land with AI in the end.
