What makes a card a certain color?

Hearthstone the class cards made some sense to a new person. Fireball is a mage card cause its a spell. Shield slam is a warrior card cause they use shields. Priest has healing cards cause its a priest and so on.
But for artifact Im trying to figure out what the colors are.
My initial guess is
Red is Warrior/Melee fighter
Green is Druid/Nature
Black is Rogue/ Dark Magic
Blue is Mage/Wizard
