Hey fellow artists, I am currently working on an acrylic painting series that involves gold leaf throughout the painting. My audience has loved these so far and many have requested prints. I know many artists that have gold leaf in their originals will also hand gold leaf all of their prints too. However, I donβt have the money up front to do this for all my prints. Would it be possible to sell prints without gold leafing them? The only issue is the gold in the photo shimmers under direct light, but becomes very dark in the shadows and im not sure how this would look for the prints if i decided to leave them as is. Do you think i can sell them this way or should i not sell prints of the gold leaf series at all? Any advice is much appreciated!!
