Hello, everyone! Those of you who are art historians, that work in the field... What is the path to becoming an art historian like?
I'm 22 years old. For a while, I wasn't sure what path I wanted to take in life (not a story I'm going to tell here, but to keep it short and simple, I didn't think I'd be around as long as I have, and I feel like I've been aimlessly drifting through life). I've had lots of ideas. But I think this is something I want to settle on. Art history has been a special interest of mine since... Well, forever. It's like the perfect combination of my all time favorite subjects.
What led you to becoming an art historian? What was it like, getting your degree? I know a little bit, but what's it truly like getting to do this? Was it hard finding work in this field? I have so many more questions, but I'll leave it at this for now. Anyone that takes the time to answer, I truly appreciate it.
