My rewrite of Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 2
Post Body

So, here’s Part 2. Get ready, because it will be completely different from the Part 2 we got. No Paragon stuff or anything like that (not that I didn’t liked it, but I didn't particularly liked it either). Now, let’s get into it!

The main storyline would see the heroes in the antimatter universe marching towards the Anti-Monitor’s fortress, which in here would look like a fortress or something like that (though I’m not sure how that could even be filmed in Vancouver). In the way there, we could see a couple characters making small talk, but more importantly, we would get another scene between the Trinity, in which Kara leaves clear that she doesn’t cares what the Monitor might say, she will not let them die. Barry and Oliver, while worried about this, don’t comment on it further. We would then get a scene in which the Anti-Monitor orders the ‘slaves’ to attack the heroes.

We would also get a secondary storyline which would focus on the other team of heroes trying to save the remaining Earths, focused mainly on Bruce and Kate. We would see a conversation between them in which Bruce tells Kate that he had a Kate too on his world, but she died in a car accident and he wasn’t there to save her, because he had retired from being Batman, clearly showing he feels guilty about it. Kate realizes that the accident he was talking about must have been the same she had when she was a kid, with the difference that there wasn’t a Batman to save her in Bruce’s Earth. She then tells him that her Bruce left Gotham and has been missing for the past three (or, actually four by this point) years, and tries to comfort this Bruce, assuring him that she’s here, and that he won’t lose this version of her, but he scoffs and refutes that by telling her that she’s not his Kate, and that he’s not her Bruce, and then advises her to hung the cape, because it won’t lead her to anything good, before walking away.

And as third storyline, much smaller, we would see a couple scenes with Lyla being called upon by the Anti-Monitor, like in the actual crossover, but without the Luthor stuff. We wouldn’t get the scene of her meeting the Anti-Monitor just yet, though.

Meanwhile, on the Antimatter Universe, the heroes are attacked by the ‘slaves’ before they can reach the Anti-Monitor fortress. Here, we would find out that the ‘slaves’ are actually the Dominators, which were enslaved by the Anti-Monitor at some point. I know the slaves on the comic were actually humans I think, but in here, I decided to make them a bit more interesting by having them be a previous enemy of the heroes and as a callback to the first big crossover, plus, as a way to make the Anti-Monitor more threatening. So the heroes must fight them before they can continue their trip.

As this happens, we would see a few scenes with the other team of heroes trying to defend and evacuate other Earths. As I said, this would pretty much be a secondary storyline so there wouldn’t be much depth to it other than being action scenes. However, once more the heroes continue to fail in defending the Quantum Towers due to the huge number of shadow demons.

In the Antimatter Universe, now here is where we would start with the massacre, because every big Crisis must have a few characters killed. The heroes are handling themselves quite well against the Dominators, but in the distance a tower starts shooting antimatter blasts at them, making things harder for them. The first one to go is Guardian, who is overwhelmed by both the explosions and the Dominators, and is killed by one of them, shocking and horrifying the rest, especially those of Team Supergirl (because, I mean, if he’s leaving the show anyways, might as well use this chance to kill him and make Crisis more important, right?). The kryptonians would then fly at the tower to try and destroy it, but their efforts would be futile, because it’s made of a material of the Antimatter Universe that is impenetrable even for them, and there don’t seem to be any entrances or exits. They try to get Cisco to open a breach inside there, but he realizes that he can’t open breaches in this universe, effectively leaving them stuck here until the Monitor pulls them out. They do, however, thanks to their enhanced vision, notice small, almost microscopical openings in the tower, through which someone could enter, that someone being Atom. He, along with Nora, who by now has discovered that her powers don’t work in this universe, shrink and enter the tower, which is seemingly empty and self controlled. The tower has no apparent controls, but it does has something resembling an energy core, which Ray shoots at and destroys. The tower then starts falling apart and explode, but before they can escape, a hidden Dominator that was guarding the tower shoots them with one of their alien weapons, sending them to the floor and causing Ray’s suit to start malfunctioning. He shoots an energy blast at the Dominator, knocking him out, but many of the suit’s functions fail, including the one that allows it to shrink, leaving them stuck inside the tower with no way out. Seeing there is no escape for them, Ray and Nora accept their fate and have one last kiss before the explosions reach them (same logic as with James, though in this case, we could have gotten an episode in Legends later that happens before the Crisis to see Ray one last time, or even one similar to what we got with Dr. Stein, seeing a past version of Ray as our last goodbye to him).

Seeing this, the Anti-Monitor decides that he has to take care of this threat himself. Over the site of battle, the heroes and especially Sara and KC Superman (you know, because they have the same face), are surprised and horrified by Ray and Nora’s death as well, but they continue on the battle, which now that the tower is destroyed starts balancing to their side.

Meanwhile, the other team of heroes is trying to evacuate as many as they can to another Earth before it is consumed by the Antimatter. Batwoman is helping with the evacuation when out of nowhere, the building she was in starts falling apart due to the chaos of the battle and a piece of rubble falls above her, trapping her. Seeing this, KC Batman runs up to her and with the enhanced strength of his suit takes most of the rubble away, before lifting a column from over Kate, finally letting her move. However, before he can let go of it, his suit fails to handle the pressure and he falls to his knees as his suit malfunctions and stops working, making it little more than dead weight above him. Kate tries to move him but the suits weight too much for her and everyone else with superstrength is either defending another Earth or helping everyone get settled on Earth-1. Bruce knows this, and tells her that this is as far as he gets, and to go away. Kate refuses, and tells him that she isn’t going to let him die, before continuing to try and move him. Bruce then tells her that it’s okay, that he knows his time has come, and that he didn’t saved her just to see her let herself be killed, that he saved her so that she can on protecting Gotham, and maybe one day meet her Bruce again, but she still refuses. He then tells her that he doesn’t wants to die knowing that he failed to save yet another version of Kate Kane, and much to her surprise, pleads with her to go away. Finally, Kate accepts and hugs him before leaving, but he calls for her one last time and tells her to forget what he said earlier about hanging the cape, and instead tells her to always strive forwards, to look at fear and don’t let it control you, to never lose hope because that’s what being a Bat is about. Kate nods, and they say goodbye before she leaves to escape the crumbling Earth with the others, while Batman stares at the Antimatter wave and doesn’t so much as flinches as it consumes him.

At the same time as this happens, in the Antimatter Universe the Anti-Monitor would arrive and would take the heroes by surprise, shooting an antimatter blast at KC Superman, who hadn’t noticed his arrival as he was fighting the Dominators. The antimatter blast is strong enough to send him to the floor, as the Anti-Monitor moves closer to him. Other heroes try to help him, but the Dominators get in their way. The Anti-Monitor gets closer to KC Superman and tells him to surrender, that there is no hope, but KC Superman tells him that there is always hope, for hope is the light that makes us strive in the darkness (kind of like what he says in the crossover), then, as a last stand, KC Superman fires his heat vision at the Anti-Monitor, but he counterattacks with an antimatter blast, which eventually overcomes KC Superman’s heat vision and reaches him, killing him. Seeing this, and angered by his death on top of all the ones that have already died, Kara ignores the Dominators and lunges at the Anti-Monitor, taking him by surprise as she punches him repeatedly and rips apart his armor. As she does this, Oliver suddenly gets a strong headache, and he sees a vision of Kara dying, killed by the Anti-Monitor. Realizing that is what is about to happen, Oliver runs at her, and tells Barry to do the same, as Kara continues to rip apart his armor, revealing nothing more that antimatter with a shape resembling that of a human body, and is oblivious to one of his hands becoming a spear-shaped appendage. Barry tries to get her away from him at superspeed, but the Anti-Monitor has created a shield around them, and he can’t get through it. He tries to phase through it, but the shield launches him away. Seeing this, Oliver yells at Kara to get her attention and tells her to get away from Anti-Monitor. But ironically, it’s his own yells that cause Kara to get distracted and be stabbed by the Anti-Monitor in the stomach. Then he would say something badass like ‘So falls the Last Daughter of Krypton’ or something along those lines before the shield around them fades and he flies away, the Dominators having been defeated. Kara tumbles back and almost falls down, but Clark caught her and gently sets her on the ground, the remaining heroes (and Lex) gather around her, those closest to her sitting besides her. She manages to say a tearful goodbye to all of them, knowing that she won’t make it. Barry looks at Oliver to see if there’s anything they can do, but Oliver looks away, feeling guilty over what happened. The episode ends with Kara taking her last breath, as those around her mourn her.
