Back and (maybe knee)pain from relic hunting - a labor of love or a love of labor?

When I talk about labor - I'm refering to hunting for points in this case because the pain is the only thing i dislike about this. I live on a property where I do this EVERY single day.
How do you all handle back pain/knee pain if any from sqautting/bending to look for points? And how do you minimize/mitigate it?
It is awful. Period.
