Looking for any info - first time acquiring anything like this

Got these from a vendor in upstate NY. He did NOT say they were from the North East, but I dont recall what he said (perhaps out west but couldve been another piece he was showing me). Didn’t spend a lot so not worried much but would be cool to know more about what I have and how y’all make these identifications.
