I know many of you in this community aren't a fan of off the rack armor and thought it would be fun to start a discussion about everyone's pet peeves, gripes and frustrations with off the reck armor.
Ill start. The most obvious one everyone will mention is sizing or lack of sizing. Armor needs to fit right or else it won't be comfortable and won't look right. There also seems to be a lack to variety in sizing as if a lot of armor producers take a 'one size fits all' approach.
And from a pedantic history nerd point of view if you nitpick it under a microscope it simply doesn't look right. There have been a few times I have said 'This is NOT Gothic' out load when looking at some off the rack pieces and I'm sure you've all had times you said the same thing about armor pieces from your favorite styles and periods of history.
So what are your pet peeves with off the rack armor ? I don't care how petty or pedantic it is.
