Thought I'd try this again, since I have more direction now:
I'll be passing through the southern part of your state in mid-September, coming from either Caddo Lake in NE Texas (30) or from Talimena State Park in OK (270) and heading toward Memphis. I am planning to see Hot Springs National Park on the way but would love to stop a few other places as long as they are south of Little Rock.
If you know a yummy roadside restaurant, weird roadside attraction, blooming gardens, favorite festival/rodeo, cool market, interesting museum, beautiful dispersed/primitive camp area, or other random thing I shouldn't leave your state without experiencing, please share! I enjoy connecting with people and discovering new places. Of particular interest to me are: pottery/ceramics studios, folk art, fine arts, or craftsmanship, historical stuff, weird passion projects, and beautiful, safe spots to car camp in solitude.
If you recommended stops in the north on my last post, thank you so much! I will take a different route back west in the spring, and rest assured they will end up on that trip.
Thanks!
