How are you differing from a private membership and not being a business? Just being community-driven does not mean you are a private membership.

We are structured as a Private Membership Association (PMA), which operates under different legal guidelines than a business. As a 501(c)(8) organization, we prioritize the needs of our private members and focus on fostering meaningful social connections, providing services, and organizing events for members, rather than offering general public services. This is a fundamental difference from a typical business model, and we comply fully with the legal requirements of private membership organizations.

Since it is a private membership, will there be meetings or voting on where the funds should go to help grow the community? Or will there be a voted-in board that will control those funds and show members what the funds are being used for?

Yes, as a member-driven organization, we are transparent about how funds are allocated. We have a leadership structure in place that ensures responsible decision-making regarding fund usage. Members are given opportunities to participate in certain decisions such as requesting the addition of new features and other benefits to the Go Pineapple website, and we ensure that any funds are used to benefit the community, including events, education, and outreach. Furthermore, our organization is deeply committed to humanitarian efforts, and we regularly work with non-profit organizations to provide disaster relief to those impacted by natural disasters. A portion of the club’s funds is reserved specifically for these initiatives, which is a core value of our leadership. Transparency and accountability are critical to how these resources are managed.

Will there be free members to this site or only paid? If there are free members, are they considered part of the private membership? What are the benefits of being a paid member vs. a free member? Would I have to sign up for the private membership separately?

Yes, there will be both free and paid memberships. Free members can access basic community features, but paid members will have exclusive benefits such as priority access to events, additional features on the website, and special discounts. Free members are still considered part of the community but may not have the same level of privileges and opportunities for participation. Signing up for the private membership is a simple process, and anyone who joins agrees to the terms and principles of the association.

Once partnered with clubs, if I am part of the Go Pineapple Private Membership, will that mean that I will have a membership with those clubs? Or will the clubs be considered private members? Will they have access to all of the Go Pineapple members’ info?

Clubs that partner with Go Pineapple will have their own membership structures. Being part of Go Pineapple does not automatically grant you membership with those clubs unless otherwise stated in specific partnerships. The clubs themselves are treated as entities that participate in the Go Pineapple ecosystem, and privacy is one of our top priorities. Clubs will not have access to Go Pineapple members’ personal information unless a member explicitly chooses to share it by posting information in their account settings. Members are not automatically connected to the clubs and may choose to interact on their own volition.

How do you all plan on “building genuine relationships” vs. just “hookup culture”?

Our platform is designed to support meaningful, long-term connections by focusing on community-building, shared activities, and social events that bring people together. We actively discourage hookup culture by providing environments that emphasize conversation, personal growth, and lasting relationships. We also create educational opportunities on relationships, safe practices, and community standards that promote respect and inclusivity.

Despite a misunderstanding our team has viewed online, we would like to take a moment to clarify that Go Pineapple is not owned by or controlled by any club. However a couple local clubs in Arizona have been instrumental in providing testing and feedback, one of those clubs has been published on the Go Pineapple app. Go Pineapple is for everybody, any club can purchase advertising space or join the organization and become a member.
