I'm trying to understand the point of the clientele program and why Aritzia decided to role out such program. First thought is that it's a way to promote community. By calling big spenders at Aritzia "clientele", it creates a sense of an "in" group. Another thought is that it incentivizes large spenders to spend even more during sales and people who don't spend as much to spend over a certain threshold in order to get discounts during the clientele sale.
It’s definitely to provide a feeling of exclusivity to consumers so they feel valued, I also think it provides a sense of urgency so people feel the need to buy more or things they don’t actually want. Although if this was it you think they would provide more info rather than being so secretive. You look at Sephora and how people spend more to gain another status, I feel like Aritzia is missing out and should be utilizing a value proposition to get drive more people to purchase

I feel like it makes people mad sometimes and feel undervalued. I’ve seen lots of comments from people who should have first access and they get access way later on in the sale, as well as people who barely spend get first access. Early sale access is not even valuable incentive anymore if they are out of stock of all the popular items 🥹
