Perhaps this is an unnecessary concern.
[[EDITED: And it was, all is good! No need to read anyfurther]]
But when migrating, I'm having to uninstall, and I'd hate to lose my customizations... Is there a way/what folders & Files do I need to extract (thisPC>Documents>ArcGIS | C:>ProgramFiles>ArcGIS>Pro>Resources>Fonts | etc..)
I'm aware that the current release is 3.0.x , but my class is sticking with 2.9.x for reasons. I have been reluctantly migrating from 2.8 to 2.9 b/c I noticed my classmates having issues that I simply wasn't having, and secretly thought 2.8 was more stable. But alas, their headache came to haunt me (symbology pane crashing ArcGIS pro app) and I've decided to take the leap forward to 2.9.x.
It appears, in order for me to advance I have to uninstall my previous version. With that, I am concerned that the million little detailed user settings I've tweak over the year will be lost. Things beyond "dark mode", like styles, packages, fonts, etc...
I don't want to have to go through and reinstall all these packages. I'm already a little annoyed that I'll lose the list of "recently opened", which is super convenient for my long list of projects I've been working.
So I reach out to those with greater perspective, to seek advice on extracting these user settings, packages, styles, fonts, etc. to preserve while i migrate.
