Snail recommendations? Preferably one that doesn’t lay eggs? Betta tank, wanted shrimp but now I don’t want to take the risk! (Info below)

Hey all!

I’ve had my first tank setup now for about a month, I’m finally starting to see algee grow on the tank / drift wood.

My original plan was to have shrimps in the betta tank, but after doing some more research, I think I better not risk it with the betta. (Plan on setting up a second tank for them!)

But that being said, I’m looking for snails to help out!

10 gallon tank, I’d prefer to have a couple (if possible)

My local shop suggested Nerite snails, but I’m not sure I’m the biggest fan of the amount of eggs they lay!

Are there any alternatives?

Here are the list of snails my local shop has.

  • lightning bolt Nerite
  • red pumpkin Nerite
  • batik Nerite
  • black helmet Nerite
  • Horned Nerite
  • Tire Track Nerite
  • Marbled Limpet
  • Tiger Stripe Limpet
  • Triangle Rabbit Snail
  • Yellow Rabbit Snail
  • Orange Rabbit Snail
  • Yellow or White Spotted Rabbit Snail
  • Hairy Snail
  • Assorted (or blue) Ramshorns
  • Chopstick Snail
  • Spixi Snail

Thanks!
