First freshwater setup

Post Body

Set my daughter up a freshwater aquarium recently, thought I'd share. I kept marine many years ago, this was my first go at a freshwater setup.

Pretty happy. Couple of things I'd do different in hindsight.

Had a couple of anubius melt from me gluing over the rhizomes and the flash pleco has gone to down on the red plants back middle (not sure of their name). Even though they look a mess I'm worried about taking them out incase he starts on other plants. I'm dropping a varied diet directly into his cave every night so fingers crossed he starts behaving.

Other stock. 9 hengeli rasbora and 6 Juli Cory's.

To be added - male Betta, and then we're done stocking. We've set up a 10g as well incase the Betta isn't a good fit. If so we'll probably go with a pair of German rams instead.

Can you talk about how you attached the moss to the wood? Looks gorgeous, thanks for sharing!

Cool, yeah when I tie it always comes loose and ends up with string floating around the tank. Not so great at the super glueing either. Yours has grown in great, could never tell it was glued.
