CO2 regulator on 5lb tank loosening.

Post Body

Hey all. Curious if anyone using a 5lb CO2 tank has ever had their regulator loosen and empty their tank?

When I first set it up, it worked fine. Left the tank open and hooked it up to a smart plug to work the solenoid. Functioned for a couple months at least.

Last time I filled it, it went empty in like four days. Figured I had a leak I didn't notice.

Filled it again, got it nice and tight. Checked all the attachments for leaks with soapy water. All seemed fine.

My smart plug was acting up, and I put off resetting it until today. Go under my tank stand and the GD CO2 tank is empty again. I'd left the tank open, but the regulator wasn't getting tripped since no power.

Put a hand on the regulator and and it swiveled easily. Nut to the tank was easily turned by hand.

Seems like it worked itself loose and exhausted the tank AGAIN. Pressure and cold from the CO2 able to do this?

I'm getting a little frustrated, haha. Figure I'll start shutting the tank off in-between the hours the regulator is getting power, even though I'm pretty sure that's not how the setup is supposed to work?
