CO2 and snails/inverts - should I actually worry about 'acidifying' the water?

Post Body

So I have a CO2 setup that I was using, then I convinced myself that I was damaging my snails shells since oceans aborbing CO2 in the real world is leading to acidification that is harmful to creatures with shells.

Am I just super paranoid? If I keep the CO2 in the 'safe' green range is there little to no risk?
