Post Body

I bought a used tank setup that was unused for months. The canister filter still had water in it. do I want to throw away everything inside and wash it down? Or is there still good bacteria in there after months stagnant? It had some sponge fiters which I cleaned, some white cylinders which I rinsed, and some mesh bags of black (charcoal?) and reddish pellets. There was no fowl smell, but there was brown and black slime.
