I impulse bought a Dojo Loach almost a year ago, he's currently in a 20 Gallon tall. He's getting too big, of course. I'm avidly watching Craigslist for the next 55 Gallon tank setup.
Here's my concern, I only have one, and I know he's a fish that does better with others, but I want a heavily planted tank with Dwarf Crayfish, four Shrimp types {Neocaridina, Caridina, Amano, and Ghost,} and whatever Beetles or other aquatic insects I gather up at my local pond.
He is the only outlier, he's a beautiful fish but he ate my impulse-bought Cherry Shrimp, and my Ghost Shrimp. Will he hunt Shrimp to extinction? Will he uproot even settled in plants? Will he get along with Guppies, a Gourami, and a Betta when he gets bigger {like he does now?} I still have Pest Snails, but Shrimp aren't as rabbit-breeding as they are.
Do I need to give him away? {If you live near the SeaTac WA area and you want him, message me, I'd be happier to give him away to a hobbyist than a pet store where someone else can impulse buy him like I did.}
