Is it okay to add tap water and dechlorinator straight to the aquarium rather than mixing in a bucket?

I'm thinking about adding tap water straight into my tank via a hose rather than lugging buckets back and forth. Is it okay if I do that then add the dechlorinator straight into the the tank? Tried searching to see if this has already been asked but I couldn't find anything/am rubbish at searching!
