I'm trying to decide on some new fish for my 28l planted tank. I like Scarlet Badis and Celestial Pearl Danios and from what I've read so far it seems they will be suitable for my tank. Having both I'm guessing might be pushing it with stocking levels.
Tank info:
28l aquaone aquastart
Sponge filter
Currently low-moderately planted, with plans to add more.
Inhabitants: Nerite snail, assassin snail and RCS (9 plus babies!).
If I put it in aqadvisor with 5 of each it has a warning saying Celestial Pearl Danios will outgrow the tank space. The stocking level is 110% although that doesn't include the shrimp. From what I've read elsewhere both species are fine in my size of tank. I think just having one species will be better (or a smaller number of each. I think 5 is the minimum number for CPDs, but Scarlet Badis is 2 or 3? Possibly male only?)
Anyone got any experience with these fish? Which are better if having both is unsuitable?
