empirical dangers of using sea/lake/rain water?
Post Body

I've read all the theories about pollution, pathogens, and parasites, but I haven't seen many people reporting actual negative affects of using sea/lake/rain water in their tanks.

My tap pH here is crazy high and I want to balance it out by using some rain/lake/sea water.

Please give me examples of times that doing so has lead to terrible consequences for you before I do something rash.

edit: Really? Nothing? Well okay... I really hope my fish survive this...
