Hi! Yes, they were just delivered a couple days ago for the new tank. This weekend is planting day! But I appreciate the comment, especially for others watching the video.
Good to know! I have the current a little high right now for the new plants, he's definitely staying up high, where there's less turbulence.
I think they're definitely bolder in large schools! But they also love finding crevices to hide in when they're not dancing.
I made the mistake(?) of seeing if I could hatch eggs they'd been laying.
I was VERY successful. I've given away about 40, I think the tank still has dozens.
They're 98% bronze cories. There are two panda, one sterbai, two orange/gold laser, and a couple peppered. But it was the bronze that made babies.
If any fry survive naturally, that's cool I guess! But I won't be harvesting eggs and putting them in breeder boxes anymore! Haha.
I've always found they don't really mind schooling with different types. I've only had bronze and panda breed though.
It was a bit of an experiment, breeding so many bronze cories. They kept laying eggs all over the glass, and I wanted to see if they were viable. They were!
I think the scientific name is actually Corydoras, but I always forget the s. Not 100% sure. It feels like I'm pluralizing it, but I think it's actually correct. 🤔
