Post Body

hi everyone. iโ€™ve never owned a fish before and i want to make sure i set everything up in the best way to avoid a fire. iโ€™m very very paranoid about it. would it work to put the tank on a small table in front of an outlet and have a power strip mounted higher on the wall and plugged into the outlet, and then all the wires plugged into the power strip?

would i need a specific kind of power strip? i read about GCFI outlets and then read itโ€™s not safe to plug a power strip into a GCFI outlet.

i want the wires to be higher than the tank to avoid water getting to the outlet.

thanks in advance!!
