first time with sump, what should I add?

30 Gall sump for a 55 gallon freshwater tank. have a eshopps 800 overhang and a syncra silent 3.0. Iām thinking about adding floaters such as like hornwort or something. Eventually gonna fill the bottom with more biospheres but had to purchase in moderation. Filter floss-50ppm foam-25ppm foam- 120 biospheres
