I just can't figure out why I have 1 fish a week die. It's been 4-5 fish over the last few weeks.

The bloodfin tetra that died last week was in the tank for over 5 weeks. The platy that just died had been in there for 6 weeks or so. They're not dying within a day or 2 of coming home, so I have 0 idea what the cause is.
I've only been keeping fish for a year or so and I'm about to just give up.

Got my water distiller today. Takes 4 hours for 1 gallon, so it'll be a bit before I get it filled, but I'm running this thing around the clock.

To jumpstart my cycling, I've been using API quickstart.

I'm fairly certain that it's my tap water. I have a new tank I'm about to start cycling using distilled water hoping the reason for the random deaths is the chlorine or something.
