Nitrites in hose water?

After having a sudden nitrite spike last night in one of my tanks, i decided to test the hose water since I had no clue why. Come to find out is that i have Nitrites in my hose water. How would one come to fix this issue? I did not have any problems yesterday in my other 2 tanks (125, 55) so i am still confused.
