Advice on moving established fish tank

Post Body

Long time lurker, first time posting.

Currently have 110 litre tank and it needs to be moved to allow for the flooring to be replaced. I’ve narrowed it down to 2 options:

  1. Get a smaller tank fill it with water from the established tank, move the heater and filter and then move the fish. Probably store some of the water for when setting back up once the floor is done

  2. Drain the tank as low as possible, move it then refill with removed water and repeat when the floor is done.

Given the weight of the tank even when the water level is low, I favour option 1 as it’ll be a maximum of 3 days.

I’ve never had to move a tank previously so I thought I’d seek out some ideas/feedback.

Thanks in advance
