Post Body

I’ve got a 1 gal mini tank for a snail and potentially a couple shrimp in the future and I currently don’t have a filter. Just a mini heater (keeps it at 72°f) and a mini bubbler for movement and air. I would like to have some sort of filtration to get lil mini particles in the water. I don’t really need it to necessarily do anything for ammonia, nitrate, nitrite as there’s gravel at the bottom as well as many plants (Azolla, Duck weed, moss balls, and 4x small ground plants) to help (been setup for about a week and levels are very good) Every filter I see in store or on Amazon would lose take up too much space so I’m not sure what to do. I had the idea of getting a polishing filter bag and running the water through every couple days but it just made the water more cloudy so I had to do a 90% water change to manage the clarity. So it’s better but not crystal clear like it was when I started it. I’ve seen some type of liquid at Petco that claims to make your water crystal clear, is that worth it or safe without a filter? Any ideas would be amazing thanks!
