I went with the advice of a LFS store employee regarding the number of corys, and I think I made a mistake...

Total beginner here, so please pardon my ignorance.

I have a 20g that already had a dwarf gourami in it. I bought some panda corys to go along with him yesterday. The employee told me I'd be alright with just 3 of them, but now everything I read says they should be in groups of at least 6. Did I fuck up? If so, how soon do I need to add more?

Also, one of them will occasionally glass surf for a while, but my understanding is that that's normal for newly introduced fish. The other two aren't displaying this behavior.
