My dwarf gourami is glass surfing. The water paramaters are fine. Could anything else be stressing him out?

I completely cycled the the 20gallon tank and introduced him last Saturday. I meant to introduce some new fish this week but wasn't able to make it to my LFS for various reasons. He's been glass surfing since yesterday, and apparently that's a sign he's stressed out.

The water paramaters are fine. I've tested them twice, and even called the LFS to get their opinion. They agreed. That said, he is the only fish in the tank right now and has been that way for just over a week now. Could he just be lonely?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
