Do you have to include class rank?

Title basically says it all, my class rank isn’t the best even if my weighted gpa is pretty damn good. This is because at the competitive school I am at, even taking a single honors class can lower ur class rank significantly, since everyone just takes mostly ap classes. Is this something colleges put as optional, or something you don’t have to put?
