In my schools local NHS if we are required to go to at least 11 of the 15 meetings we have. If you don't make it to all 11 we are fined $5 for every meeting we miss. I am confused why because there is no resources being wasted on students who miss the meetings. I am just confused on where the money could be going because after browsing through the handbook I couldn't find a single mention of being able to fine students. I myself am not in NHS but a friend of mine was talking about it and I find it so weird. I should also mention the meetings aren't in-person due to COVID, but are on google meets. Can someone who was in NHS shed some light on this.
