It is the 21st Century. For more than a hundred years CollegeBoard has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Testing. They are the master of admissions by the will of test officers and master of a million students by the might of Their inexhaustible monopoly. They are a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with money from the Dark Age of Boomers. They are the Carrion Lord of the vast United States of America for whom a thousand dollars are sacrificed every day so that They may never truly die.Â
Yet even in Their deathless state, CollegeBoard continues Their eternal vigilance. Mighty score sheets cross the troll-infested miasma of the Internet, the only route between distant testing centers, their way lit by money, the physical manifestation of CollegeBoard’s will. Vast armies of graders give battle in Their name on uncounted tests. Greatest among Their soldiers are the APs, computer-engineered super-tests. Their comrades in arms are legion: The SAT and countless subject tests, the ever-vigilant testing officers and the adversity scores of the standardized tests to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat to colleges from the poor, unremarkable, Asian -- and far, far worse.Â
To be a student in such times is to be one amongst untold thousands. It is to live in the cruelest and most greedy regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of extracurriculars and perfect essays, for so much has been unread, never to be seen. Forget the promise of fair admissions and test curves, for in the grim dark present there is only -2 = 740. There is no peace amongst the students, only an eternity of crying and raging, and the laughter of greedy executives.
this is just for fun pls dont kill me
