Proving English Language Proficiency
Post Body
My first language is not English, so I need to prove proficiency. Most US schools seem to accept an SAT Reading score of >600 as proof. However, Canadian universities do not.
Is there a way I could negotiate with the Canadian schools so they would accept my SAT score as proof of proficiency instead of a TOEFL score? Does anyone have experience with this situation? I would really rather not pay $195 to take the TOEFL only to apply to one or two Canadian universities.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
