I haven't seen many talking about this, so I thought I'd share.
Just last month the Florida governor approved this bill: https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2018/00004
which, among other things, extends Florida's Benacquisto scholarship to out-of-state applicants as well. Benacquisto is a full-cost scholarship (UF, for example, gives stipends for clothes, tech, etc), guaranteed to National Merit Finalists that apply to and attend a Florida public school, provided they have not already received any other National Merit scholarship offers.
Of course, UCF already provides a wonderful full-cost scholarship to any OOS National Merit Semifinalists as well (and they're still accepting applications, folks). But this is great news for any future National Merit Finalists who would like to make money while going to UF or another Florida public school.
