So an adult I'm working with as part of a state organization offered to write me a rec letter with regards to the organization because it is somewhat obscure/hard to explain and I figured her rec would show my participation in that.
However, I am concerned at this point that she won't complete it in time for my EA application (which is fine). But my question is, what would happen if I submitted my app without her having uploaded the letter, and then she never uploaded it? Since it's optional, would I be penalized? Just trying to figure out at this point if I should just go ahead and remove her from my EA app.
