Does the major I declare in my common application affect my chances of getting into a university?
Post Body

This is particularly for Stanford but any advice would be nice.If I apply to Stanford for CS is it going to be harder for me to get in then lets say Stanford for Economics. I know Stanford is still a world class institution in all fields but its most known for STEM. Therefore, will me applying for humanities improve my chances of getting into the school.
