My GPA should be 3.6 UW by the time I apply to college. How can I boost my chances of getting into MIT?
Post Body

Hello,

I am a junior and it is my goal to get into MIT. However, I understand my GPA, not counting senior year should be 3.58, which is relatively low for a school like MIT. I was wondering what I can do to boost my chances of getting into a place like MIT, or to know if I even have a shot. I know I have to do really well on the ACT and my SAT subject test and I am assuming I will place well within the average scores of MIT.

I didn't know what information would be useful so here's pretty mush everythingthat might go on an application

-I have an upward trend, I got a 3.3 freshman year and 3.7s sophomore and junior year. I took two APs sophomore and four this year, I will be taking 4our next year and advaced chemisry class. My Weighted GPA should be 3.9 by the time I apply not including first quarter senior year.

-I got "low" grades freshman year due to self-esteem issues which I plan to address during my application.

-I'm an underrepresented minority (half black half white)

-I play rugby, which takes up must of my time, I am vice-president of my school's Junior State of America chapter, I am learning how to draw and am thinking about starting a youtube channel to document my progress

-this summer i will be taking precalculus through a selective program at my school so I can take AP Calc BC senior year I might also have an Internship at UMD working with solar power but that is a big maybe

-I plan to apply to questbridge
