Should I Mention my Learning Disability to Selective Colleges?
Post Body

Hey reddit,

I have a learning disability that basically effects my processing speed and dose not effect cognitive function. I was thinking about mentioning it or even writing an essay on it next year when I apply to colleges because for a long time it effected how I felt about myself. I struggled a lot move past my negative mind set and I started taking harder classes and improving my grades. I think I might be the only kid in my school who has a disability and takes such large course load as my own. I'm afraid that colleges, especially selective ones, would not be interested in having some like me on campus though. Should I mention it?

This turned out longer than I meant, sorry about that. Thanks for any advice.
