Whirlpool washing machine W11436596A majorly acting up
Post Body

I just moved into a house, it came included with a washing machine that I have discovered is a Whirlpool washer model #W114336596A. It has been majorly acting up since we moved in. The main things it’s doing:

  1. It seems to fill and sense fine. But when it goes into wash cycle, it continuously runs the wash cycle for like a couple seconds, then clicks off. After a few seconds, it clicks back on and repeats that process. It seems to do this no matter what step it is on in the cycle. It does not seem to advance the cycle.

I am renting this house and the maintenance guy says he might be able to replace the washer with a spare one from the office, but that’s not a 100% guarantee. The house is brand new and the appliances are brand new.

The washer is currently running on “rinse & spin” and is doing the “run rinse for a few seconds then click off” and when it tries to go into spin mode it makes a thump like the load might be too heavy but it’s just a half-load of regular clothes. I am at my wit’s end with the damn thing!
