Moving Outlet for New Range

Post Body

I am getting rid of my electric range and replacing it with an induction range. The outlet is currently in the middle/bottom of the wall and will need to be off to one side for the new range.

How far in advance of receiving the new range should I make an appointment to move the outlet? Will I still be able to plug in (and use) my current electric range once the outlet is moved? I assume yes, but the range will stick further out into the kitchen.

Any assistance would be appreciated. I want to make sure the new range can be installed when it is delivered without the outlet causing a problem (but I also want to be able to use my old one until the new one gets to me). I have about 3 weeks before the new one is supposed to arrive. Thanks!
