How is Appleton without a car?
Post Body

Thinking of visiting for a week Aug 4th to 11th .. found some cheap flights with Allegiant and have been looking for somewhere to go in August that wasn't a big city and somewhat rural. Would be solo. I saw there's a music fest that weekend which would be cool, I don't drink tho, and read Appleton is a big drinking town, not sure if that matters or not. I used to love music festivals but most of the thrill is kind of gone nowadays. Would be cool to checkout for a day or two though. Heard there was some good hiking, what about like lakes or waterfalls to swim at? Otherwise would just be into exploring, parks, historic areas, museums, etc etc. Also would love to find and visit some farms that practice regenerative farming, rotational grazing, and holistic management. I'd be ok for renting a car for a couple days but wouldn't want to for the whole week, anyway, appreciate the info!
