Does watch series really matter?
Post Body

After spending a fair amount of time googling fitness trackers I’ve established that the Apple Watch is one of the best at tracking calories. Yes, I’m aware that it’s never accurate, but reports of /-100cal is damn near good enough for me.

My question is, does it really matter what series I get? Will the newer models be more accurate due to updated hardware, or is the calorie tracking hardware pretty much the same across all models? Looking at minimum series 5 maximum series 7, but could push to 8 if there’s any drastic difference in calorie tracking hardware.

I mainly train stationary bike, with maybe 1-2 45min outdoor rides per week as well, so GPS/speed isn’t really a concern for me if that’s something that gets factored in.

Thanks in advance!
