I forgotmy watch password and my iPhoneforgotmy watch.

I was gifted an Apple watch series 3 a while ago but rarely used it. It has been sitting collecting dust for a while until I charged it up today looking to sell it. Then as I did so i realised I forgot the password for it so I went to erase it on my phone and it had forgotten the watch. The watch is still on the find my iPhone app however it can't be erased through that since it can't connect to anything. Anyone got any ideas?
