AW S9 - heating while charging

Hello,
I've owned a S7 for two years, and I could charge my watch from 20% to 100% and I wouldn't feel any heat after charging it.
How with S9, I can charge it from 40% to 80% (half an hour), and when I get it out of the charger I feel it quite warm. Is this normal in this model?
Note: I use Apple Magsafe Dual Charger
Note2: I'm using WatchOS 10.1 Beta 2 (unfortunately I don't know if it's related since I upgraded straight to this version, so I also wonder if it's related
