Does adding a song to my library affect my recommendations/algorithm?
Post Body

I only really favorite a song if I love it AND also want in my library. Songs I like in general Iā€™ll add to my library as well. But does Apple Music use ā€œaddsā€ to suggest similar music I may like? Or is it only basing recommendations off of my ā€œfavoritesā€ and ā€œsuggest lessā€ songs?

I really wish there was a ā€œlikeā€ button too, because lately my recommendations have been trash. Either music Iā€™ve listened to already, or suggestions based off music I havenā€™t listened to in a long time but possibly had been favorited. For example, I listen to a variety of genres, but for a period of time I listened to a lot of metalcore artists. Now over a year later I still get metal recommendations that I donā€™t like. Iā€™m not sure if itā€™s bc I listen to metal thatā€™s in my library still, or because I favorited metal songs last year. The Discovery station is okay, but it usually picks 1 genre Iā€™ve listened to recently and only suggests songs from it.

Iā€™ve been using Apple Music since 2015, but lately Iā€™m not impressed and the algorithm seems to be getting worse for me. Any suggestions? I know the app has changed a lot over the years. Any new methods of use Iā€™m missing?
