I only really favorite a song if I love it AND also want in my library. Songs I like in general Iāll add to my library as well. But does Apple Music use āaddsā to suggest similar music I may like? Or is it only basing recommendations off of my āfavoritesā and āsuggest lessā songs?
I really wish there was a ālikeā button too, because lately my recommendations have been trash. Either music Iāve listened to already, or suggestions based off music I havenāt listened to in a long time but possibly had been favorited. For example, I listen to a variety of genres, but for a period of time I listened to a lot of metalcore artists. Now over a year later I still get metal recommendations that I donāt like. Iām not sure if itās bc I listen to metal thatās in my library still, or because I favorited metal songs last year. The Discovery station is okay, but it usually picks 1 genre Iāve listened to recently and only suggests songs from it.
Iāve been using Apple Music since 2015, but lately Iām not impressed and the algorithm seems to be getting worse for me. Any suggestions? I know the app has changed a lot over the years. Any new methods of use Iām missing?
